I've just released on CD the 230+ page "Motorcycling the Great Divide". I along with my riding partner Russ Fellows rode our big dual sports along the entire route from Canada to Mexico this past July/August. This is the 2,800 mile off-highway adventure along the Continental Divide popularized by Clement Salvadori's article in Rider Magazine. The GDT follows the mapped 62 day Mountain Bike route developed by the Adventure Cycling Association.

The CD has over 200 color pictures, 20 general reference maps, and numerous tips and tricks if you'd like to follow in their tracks. The CD includes info on where to get waterproof route maps, GPS coordinates (not really needed), what to bring, what to leave behind, where to eat, where to stay, what we wish we'd done, what to ride, how to pack it, etc. etc. It is produced in three formats: MS Word; Acrobat.pdf, and a photos only PowerPoint slide show. Plays on any PC or Apple Mac.

The CD is $11.95 with FREE SHIPPING to anywhere in the world! PayPal, personal checks, and postal money orders are all accepted.

What folks are saying about the Great Divide Ride Adventure Diary CD:

"Started looking at your trip and couldn't quit till I finished it."

"Your story was great; and man those photo's."

"Today was the big day! The arrival of the Great
Divide Ride CD. From the mailbox straight to the computer
for a quick scan through the photos. Two hours
later........ ;-) So I didn't get to do some planned
chores tonight but hey, I traveled 2882 miles on my
    computer! What a blast!! "

"What a treat! Thanks so much for the CD! It's gonna take a while to get through it all, but I've really enjoyed things thus far. What a dreamy ride, soon to be on our list of must-dos. Consider yourself to blame."

It was probably one of the best Adventures I ever took. Best part is that I spoke the native language and never had to exchange local currency! No banditos and no greasing palms at borders. Even the food was good!

Got it today. I didn't have time to get deep into it, but it looks great. I like all the side bars with the tips, and suggestions. I also like the fact that you respected the posted areas, and found other routes.

The ride was done w/o the use of GPS. The maps from Adventurecycling.org are all you really need. However, GPS waypoints are available from another GD Rider, Mark Sampson. His info is on the CD.

I do make notes on food, gas and lodging but its such a fluid issue that I encourage you to be flexible when trying to "plan" your ride. No two GDR's are the same for a number of factors. Starting point, # of riders, type of bike, tires, weather, etc. etc. Mark rode three weeks before us and he stoped, stayed and ate in some of the places we did and others we did not. But, you will have lots of information for planning purposes. Best dual sport adventure I've ever done!
