Some of the tracks down there that used to be legal for bikes are as you say no longer and i've heard of a few people having problems.

15 or 20 years ago the police atttitude was far more relaxed and the locals were all really friendly. The Fuenta De route to the top of the cable car always used to be legal but i haven't ridden there for quite a few years and i'm not sure of the status anymore, but i do know of an English friend who copped for a fine of a couple of hundred Euros last year for riding where he shouldn't.

We always kept away from the Cavadonga end of the National Park as that seemed to be the sensitive side from the information we had.

    Beautifull part of the world.

You should go there, there is another trail nearby to walk and its very steep, I could probably find the cojones to walk up it, but not down it.

as for the facial fungus - :cry cruel people that you are.....

Nice fotos from you guys as well. Anyone planning to go in a group I can recomend the Hotel Infantado in Potes (Ojeda). Otherwise look for nice authentic posadas.

I'll second the Hotel Infantado in Potes as well. if its full try the hotel on the opposite side of the road heading into to town about 1/2 mile closer to town, not as good but still acceptable. Can't remember the name though (really helpfull Comment!!!).

Sorry Bob, don't mean to hijack as you're the local.

I was just at the picos last week. Man they are amazing. I had a blast. I saw this kid on a 2 stroke supermotard tearing it up too.

Then I took off to the pyranees. The picos look so different than the pyranees. You took way better photos than me.

Next year lets do a ride.

I was going to guess Sangre de Toro, but it's been awhile since I've been in Spain. Should have remembered since I lived just south of Jerez, and we know Osborne does make the sherry! Come to think of it, maybe that's why I don't remember :evil
