    Legend in the Making:

A Honda Ascot VT500 was bought in 1984, rode around for a few hundred miles, and forgotten.

In 2007, the moto was given to Geek by Dangerous Dave (I believe), at which point the Geek decided that road tires are no longer sufficient, and that this moto's desire to "be bad" has to be released. He rode much of Colorado and many other states.

Eventually his time with Loser came to an end when he started an affair with a Husky 610 (a whole different book), and other some such nonsense.

All was well enough, because a young whipper snapper by the name of Spooph fell in love with the Loser, having fantasized about "the ride" on the Loser so often. Spooph finally talked Geek into letting him have the thing, and started fondling the beast in every which way.

Spooph received helped from over 7 people to make his dream of being the Apocalypse biker (Raising Arizona), or some Mad Max variant possible...

Somewhere in the mix, a so-called FelixdeLarge Aussie requested to spend some time with the loser, and since the Loser was such an amalgamation up to this point, it would've only been fitting to let him take her for a spin...

If you have more stuff of the Loser, please post up. I'm hoping this could be it's biography, and if I in-corrected a fact, please let me know. Enjoy and we'll be seeing you around.....

i bought the loser from the original owner in the winter of 04 for the lofty sum of $200. the bike was pristine with only 5k on it . the guy bought it new and rode it for 2 summers in college. then it was put away from 1986 until i got it.

i bought it in january 04 put a new battery in and changed the oil. it ran great!
no sooner did i have a running bike, a friend calls and says lets go to copper canyon...sure. i didnt have time to test ride (snow) i put in the back of a truck bound for texas.unloaded and that was the first time i rode it.

it performed flawlessly for a month in mexico, the next year i put 30k on it riding to alaska, california, north carolina(where the red wire incident happened) and everywhere in between.

the bike was then rode to california again to buy a klr where it was left for dead in my brothers backyard in huntington beach.

then came geek and the story continues...then comes spoof and once again the story continues all without money changing hands just a promise to ride the shit out of it.

loving the ride report spoof...brings a tear to my eye.

At least Geek didn't coat the entire thing with chain lube like he did his KTM. :lol3

    Great story!

It also looks like he used a whole tube of ultra copper on that front valve cover. Not too good for the oiling system. :eek1

I was at a poker game last night with some friends. One of them used to ride dirt bikes in Oregon. He has occasionally told me he wants a dual sport so he can get around the mountains cheaply/easily. The only problem is he has no money for a bike. I thought about it for a minute and realized I might have a lead on a bike in his price range. This morning I sent him an email with the history of The Loser and the responsibilities that handling such a machine entails; we'll see if he's up to the challenge. :D
