I thought they only made the 07's in the anniversary colors? How many miles did you say were on it? You have 816 K, maybe you mean 8160 or 816?
I kinda though it looked that way. Those high-mounts are soooo pretty! Here's an older picture of my '94: I need to take some more pics though; things have changed since.
98 owner here, I ride it every day to work and to the mountains on the weekends. Not sure I'll ever get rid of it. The day I bought it:
Haha 816 Kilometres when I bought it just a month ago, forgot most people talk in miles here. I have put a little more than 2000 kms since I picked it up, it is a fun bike. The '07 came in red and the RWB colours.
Yours had around the same amount of miles on it as mine did when I bought mine in November. Mine had 441 miles on it, now its got 1380. I have the RWB colors.
Finally got my new r/r for my 98. The new r/r has much bigger fins on it than the previous one, if I recall correctly. It'll be nice to be back out riding it again.
Yes the B!^$& almost had to walk home, she is not a good passenger. I just asked my wife to hop on to see what it was like, no prob for the Viffer to carry two around.
I've ridden quite a bit with my wife on my VFR. The key for us was getting the corbin seat so we could use the backrest system they have on their seat. Having the sissy bar on it made her much more confident to ride with me. There is a limit to how long she can ride with me. If its more than a couple of hours it becomes too much for her. Saddlebags are a must if you're keep a woman with you though
So, that's what I wanted to hear... I want a VFR, with helibars, so that I can sit upright, and a screen that will keep the blast off me, a good seat, and some lowered pegs. I would want it to have hardbags. more to the Touring side of SportTouring. Would that be so wrong?
I yearn to be an adventure rider, but am just a tourer at this point. VFR is the natural choice. Honda (only brand I trust), and I'm done with the weight of anything over 750cc. WeeStrom desire is fading, next cycle will probably be a KLR. Want to get in a position to have both. VFR will never leave my paddock
From yesterday can confirm the VFR is still a looker... And six hours later can confirm it handled the hail better than I...
Strom and VFR is a great combination. Although I have been riding my V, more of teh time. Mainly due to the convenience of the luggage.
I had a KLR before my VFR. I traded it for a Buell Uly, then totalled the Uly. I wanted something more street oriented and less vibes. About 2 weeks ago I almost bought an identical KLR to the one I had, I miss it surprisingly. But the wife wont let me have two bikes and the VFR isnt going anywhere either
I absolutely love my 1999 VFR, but the deals on leftover late models are getting WAY good! It's got me looking.
Shit, don't tell her I called her a B!@#$ she had that already I just wanted to know what it felt like riding 2 up.
