Nice looking ride. You'll love it. I use mine to commute to work in Houston and really enjoy it. --Sam
Leafman! I do not use my XCo as a heavy off road enduro bike.... so, will fit the KN, and fell it... Thinking about to hand made a rally look exhaust! the scoop... you have opened an hole in the plastic part that covers the air filter? thinking about to do it, plus install a filter foam on the opening to help on the filtering. I also run anakees os my 8Gs... it´s very nice on twisty roads!!! Snooker! as I said to Leaf... I don´t use my Xco as a heavy off road bike... will try the KN, but will buy a foam too.... the 17 sprocket is out of my plans, since I like the bike response, and not use it for long travels.... Will look for something about the lights!!! I´ve read all your moods! congrats for it! helps a lot!!!! Catneck! congrats for the bike! I´ve got a service manual (CD) on the ebay.... gelps a lot if you like to do it yourself maintenance.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-G650-X-...anuals_Literature&hash=item1e74070943&vxp=mtr and is cheap too!!!! Regards to all
Yeah the RepRom is the way to go. I wasn't sure you could still find one on eBay. Even if just for the various torque settings of things.
This is my primary bike now. Nice light commuter, with enough power to have some fun. And amazing economy. Early morning ride found a glaring (literally) issue. The windshield mounts far enough forward to catch a great deal of the headlight beam and funnel it right to my line of sight. Cobbed up a headlight brow, fixed. Bought the RepRom, looking forward to opening up the X.
Catneck! I had the same issue with a touratech headlight protector..... the glare come right to my eyes... fixed easily... some blacknylon tape on the up face... doesn't look so good, but works!
Looking at attaching an MSR bottle where the cannister now lives. I am guessing it has been done before. If so, a link would be appreciated.
Try this, David http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335086&highlight=bottle&page=219 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335086
Cool. :eek1 What boat were you on? I'll be that way in January or February and need to find a way to Columbia. PM me. Thanks.
It's Caf's my wifes bike I'm the clown in the ditch/field after going straight on at a T junction on my X Challenge! The exhaust is a Scorpion (british company) it's OK for the money we paid (about £250 for a titanium) but the on I have on my XCH is a replacement because the sleeve slip by the end cap on the original. Cheers Pete
I was recently in San Diego for a week and went by the local Guzzi dealer, GP Cycles. It's a very nice shop. They're also a Husqvarna dealer and I had the opportunity to see the new Husky Terra 650 that reminds us of the BMW X series. Priced at $6999, I think this will be a good seller for Husqvarna and, yes, the bike has similarities to our X bikes. The Terra is not as trimmed-out as the XCo. Doesn't have ABS and the body parts are simple. It does boast more HP, though- almost 60 ! I think we will see switchable ABS on it soon. GP did not have the "Strada" version of the bike that offers a 19-inch front wheel that I prefer and ABS.
