I am officially proposing April 26-28. That will still be a little bit chilly in Cruso, but I don't think it will conflict with any other rallies. Cruso can be chilly even in July. Do I hear a second?
If a few more people second, third and fourth this date and we really pin it down, I will get in touch with Phil and let him know we are coming. Leslie normally asks if there is anything special we want to eat and I can recommend her BBQ. It is not like that vinegary North Carolina stuff. It's good! I'm open to suggestions, though. Phil starts taking reservations for cabins March 1st but I think he actually opens the campground later. Asheville has several good breweries (the French Broad 13 Rebels is my favorite and you guys seemed to agree last time) but I don't have any way to get a keg there. I drive a Yaris and my GS has more storage space. Volunteers? Also, I'm not very good at the door prize stuff (you guys know how shy I am). So if someone kind of local like me wants to look into that it would be great.
I cast my vote for the weekend of 4/26 also. Without exerting the effort to check Phil's site, do any of the cabins have two beds to facilitate splitting a cabin? It's almost a rhetorical question, though. I will very likely overnight in a tent on the way up at the same Army MWR facility I did last year. But that cabin-camping thing is starting to grow on me.
what's the official name of that camp ground again???? I case I want to go light and get a cabin as I might want to bring a pillion?? duh forget it I found it.
Cool. I finally checked the website to see what Phil has. Anyone want to share a cabin? I snore. Ask Sarah.
