Oh I found your link with the pics. I updated my replies to you see above.
I finally got a clue and registered myself with TigerTriple.com. and will sort over and search there first for basic questions about this bike. No more banging your heads against the wall for questions that have been hashed over and explained many times before.. I can almost feel mustangs and abruzzi shock waves from headbanging here in Utah... Thanks all! boulder

Oh, well I will still have some more set up specific questions to ask about the bike. That I will struggle finding answers on the other site.
If experts are on this site at the time and i need a quick fix expert advice sure I will still ask. boulder

Tips sensor, and other questions
So, I was doing a bit more reading on the tiger 955i, and I noticed that '01's had some issues with throttle position sensors. How common is this? I have my tiger down to the bones in the basement for a winter service(valve check, new plugs ,new fuel filter,Sasquatch mod, etc...). Should I look at replacing the TPS as long as I have it all apart? Also, if I were to add rox risers, would the 3 1/2" require cable mods? And I was thinking about getting pro-taper ATV high bar too. How much taller than stock is the ATV high? I used tiger triples cross reference post, and saved a bundle on repair parts
![]() What I got so far. Radiator cap was from a Nissan 300Z, to get the 1.1 bar required for the tiger. I hope it works. Upon disassembly, I noticed coolant leakage, hence the new cap. I will change the coolant as well, and go over all the hose connections. Maybe something just needs to be snugged up. ![]() ![]() It's leaking from somewhere. Maybe the cap just burped because I brought it in from sub zero temps into the basement at about 65 or so degrees. As she sits now... ![]() I have new full bore M-40 radials to put on too. So, should I do the sensor? Highway pegs, I think the previous owner had twisted throttles pegs on the thunder bike crash bars. They just don't fit ,y foot well. I was thinking of adding the TT m8 foot peg joint, so they would stick out a bit farther, and then maybe my foot would fit, and so they could fold up out the way. They are pretty proud of those joints, what has been the consensus for highway pegs on the thunder bike crash bars? Is there a practical and less expensive solution for mounting something to these bars? You can see the existing mount style in the photos above. That's it for my tiger update T |

Hey fellas, hope someone here can help me out. Going to be getting the bike ready for the riding season this weekend. changing oil, coolant, re-wiring, installing farkles, etc. One thing I wasnt to do asap is the breather mod for my bike. I've read over at tigertriple and on a few posts here that the 885i had issues with oil getting in the airbox if the bike tipped over while it was still running. This is bound to happen on my bike. So, there is a poorly defined how to on tigertriple. I've reached out on that forum without finding any help. Does anyone who has a 99-00 tiger have pictures of what they did to there bike? Or can you detail enough explaination that when I take my tank off I can do this mod to my bike? I would greatly appreciate the help. I fel this is an easy fix, but I am not sure where to start since this is the 1st triple I'll be working on. Thanks guys!

No not yet. I went to get a loan and took my wife with me. We ended up doing a refi on the house and a line of credit for me to use to purchase the bike and finish the basement. Ugghhh word of advice don't take your wife with you to get a loan...
I am going to pay the loan off once I sale my DR 650. Problem is after we were all done the loan officer says it will take 3 weeks to process.. ![]() So i talked to the seller of the bike and he is soo cool. He has taken it off the market for me. Hey Keystiger, I have some questions to ask you. I will PM you. Also I have pictures of the bike I want to show but I cant upload them as I used to be able to but I don't see the function to do so now. boulder

I usually just copy and paste photos out of my facebook albums. For some reason it works just fine.
I myself will be kicking the wife's car out of the garage in a couple weeks to start my winter services. Was told my issue might be a thermostat stuck open. Under 40mph she will get hot, but get out on the open road and she cools right down. So going to get a new radiator cap and put the thermostat in a pot of water and boil it, unless it is open when I take it out. Then going to try the Sasquatch mod.
