Initially I thought I would go to Collingwood and get to the top of Blue Mountain but as I started I somehow ended up in Creemore and from there is this great road climbing up south on top of the Niagara escarpment.

You can see by the colours that fall is here, I also keep the camera in my tank bag and every time I pull it out the mode button gets changed and therefore the bleak colours.

As I get further south there are a few side roads that leads me towards Hwy 89 and I remember that the KTM guys are having a demo day so why not look in on them. I think someone said earlier that they would have hot chocolate.

None of that but I managed to get a coffee and a donut while I was observing the mayhem. Looked like great fun and there were demo rides going out on the 950s continuously.

Found some nice roads and trails on my way back, this one was a dead end but then I took the right fork and it took me down a hill leading to a road following a beautiful river.

Half expected to find the most decked out GS in the world around here but no Vardy to see.

From there it was right home for duties with the family, but what a great time of year to ride.
Saw another GS going east on 89 just before noon, was that anyone from here?

Not today but I am off next Monday so I might go for a blitz that way. That should just give you enough time to learn google and mapsource.

You people are very priviliged to live where you do!
It looks like an absolutely great place for riding. Over here I'm very greatfull for one sandy road of less than a mile long

Eppo have you ever been to Mattawa? Or did you just buy the camp on line? There's lots of lumber roads there. You'll be in heaven....after black fly season

. When are you coming here? Maybe we can get you to come to James Bay...Same trip as Viking and a lot of others guys on here....

You got that right, I was up there summer of 2005 and did a scratch of the surface kinda thing. But I would love to come up there and explore a bit more. I always get interested when I see one of the posts from up there.

One day we need to organize a group of guys from down here and come up your way for a weekend of backroads and beer.

I'm thinking since it's about 1600 k each way we do two Saddlesore 1000s with a couple days recovery and abuse in between. That's hardcore.
