My sunday morning dirt fix. just a few miles north of downtwon Salt Lake City.

It's sort of right

Looks like a real fun ride

I think that you can also attach your track as a .gpx file then others can download the file and load it in their GPS's then duplicate your ride.

Your close Dozer. Both tracks and routes, but it's set up so you don't have to show pictures. Export your track or route to .gpx format and you can attach it to you post, describe what you are uploading and post pics with it as well.

That way anyone else can just download your attachment and do whatever they want. GPX was picked in the hope of going with an open standard that would support multiple brands. If you are Garmin it is really seamless with instructions in the main forum.

I only wish I knew what a .gpx file was? and how to download and save such a file.

You're almost there. Assuming your Mapsource is version 6.2 or greater, all you do is click save as and pick .gpx as the file type (the last one on the list) in the drop box at the bottom of the screen. Then attach that file to your post using the attachment tool at the bottom of the new post screen.
