I hear valves can be checked in under 10min , Tanks & rocker cover come off and couple of other items

Looks a might bit crowded on the inlet side to me to be able to check the clearences quickly and confidently without filling the head full of dirt. Unless you can carry a gerney cleaner everywhere like the factory mechanics ???

I went on a organized dual sport ride during Daytona Bike week one year in the late 90's I suppose. We were blazing down a power line road that was foot deep sugar sand which if you don't know requires you to get your weight rearward, pin it in 2nd or 3rd on a XR400 and just let it dance underneath you. Momentum is your friend as in many offroad situations. Up ahead I see a guy plunking along duck walking his bike and going WAY too slow to get on top. As i get closer the quack is on a Yamaha V-Max....the regular street version. He ended up doing the whole ride and finishing but WHY???
