I think Guzzi may have a genuine winner on their hands with this bike.

Between the Stelvio, Griso SE, and the new 8v Norge, Guzzi should be selling bikes faster than they can build them.

I've owned an 08 GSA since new and it's been my favorite bike.......then I added a new green Grisso to the herd a little over a month ago. Oh my, there is something about that motor that mesmerizes me. Yesterday was a perfect day here, mid 90's and very light winds so I took the Grisso out on a 200 mile loop on the back roads. It's was a surreal experience riding along at 85 or 90, the quite rush of wind past my Shoei, the background rumble of the sweet V twin, the smooth balance of the tires on the asphalt. It was as though I was flying in perfect air.

Now I find myself looking at this thread, reading the entire thing and trying to rationalize replacing a perfectly good GSA with a new Stelvio. I'm hopeless.

Mine was stepping up to a 1200GS from my F800 for long distance adventuring. But the price jump, the whole having to choose between different "packages" and just the whole BMW thing had, frankly, just gotten to me. When I discovered the NTX everything just clicked.

Local dealer finally sold the 2009 Stelvio, they still have a 2010 and a 2011. I might go for one of those once the NTX is sitting next to them. They carry Triumph too and the Guzzi's look a little bland next to all the new and exciting trumpets.

Do the 2010 and 2011 US models have the smaller fuel tank compared to the 2012?

The timing is good. The bike's a bit late arriving, but that's coinciding with me getting some projects done at work and being able to burn thru two....maybe even three, weeks of PTO.

I've been planning a nice long one

Riders Hill in Dahlonega has a '12 in black and a '12 in orange. Both are NTX's; wire wheels, aluminum skid plate, crash bars, etc...

Orange looks nice, and was calling to me . My wife was with me, and she even liked it; then she found the green Griso w/ the brown leather seat and began her own process of falling in love

I have no plans to trade for it, but was wondering if the larger oil cooler would retrofit to my '10 . That may be worth looking at as we know oil temps can get high on the 8v motors
