New Guzzi "GS" model
With a new "GS" style Guzzi coming what are your thoughts?
http://www.motorcycledaily.com/05february07_mgrumor.htm I would like something similar to the Quota or better yet the looks of the old R80G/S or KLR650. The niche does not need another Capo Nord or Vstrom. I fear it might be more like the new Tiger or Multistrada. If I wanted one of those I would buy one of those. Guzzi should aim right at the basic, stripped down big dual purpose, like the early Tiger, and sell a bunch of add-ons. What do you all think?

"The bike should be more road-biased, somewhat like the new Triumph Tiger. "
This really should be in Road Warriors, shouldn't it ??? ![]() FWIW, expect the new "Stelvio" or "Quota" to be based heavily on the current Breva/Griso/Norge platform.

Why stick that exhaust can there? Guess they want people to spring for their expensive oem hardbags. Sorta answered my own question. But I don't like it. Nor do I dig this new/old headlight arrangement. Looks like a RoadGlide for cryin' out loud! But the rest of the package looks very good. Love that motor!

Looks good to me.
Large fuel tank. 6.5"+ travel in the front end. New 8v engine. 19" front wheel. Decent "modern" styling. I like it. http://www.raptorsandrockets.com/New...Moto_Guzzi.htm

Underseat would've been better, ala the Multistrada.

New Guzzi Stelvio has arrived
Finally - it has arrived. The new Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200. Fortunately it looks a whole lot better than some bike magazine's artists have tried to portray it.

You know how we're always bitchin that they never bring the great bikes to the US? Huh? Huh?
This isn't one of them. Might as well leave that one in Europe.
