Yeah, it's pretty funny hopping from one to the other, as they could not be more different. But they both make me grin.

Laugh Picking up Stelvio soon

Hi there all, new to the forum, just saying hello. Plus am getting a little excited cause I pick up my new Stelvio in a couple of weeks. Test road one about a month ago and loved it, so comfortable and I am 6 foot 4 inches. There were a few niggles but nothing that cannot be sorted, the screen is not far from completely useless, for some reason it is better in the low setting for my height, but still so much wind noise and buffeting about, so will have to address that, (Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket screens available yet ?) plus a slight understeer, which again can be sorted. Other than that it all felt like I am going to get along just fine !

I am pretty sure that the screen itself is the same as the Norge, which has been out for some time and has taller screens available. I'm 6'1" and the stocker fits me just fine, but I was looking at some of these just to have a cooler tinted one:

Congratulations! First thing I did was wind up the rear preload to compensate for my weight and now she steers sweetly! For some reason Guzzi sell them set up for a 10 stoner!

Ref Understeer

Yes, I wound up the rear spring about halfway around my demo ride last month and this did make it better, so with a little fine tuning when I get mine this should be fine. I weigh 276 lbs so I,ll see but with luggage and a blonde on the back I might need to condider a higher rated spring. Its amazing that my height at 6' 4'' just a few inches can create such a problem with the wind over the screen, as well I had the seat on its highest setting so I suppose overall I would be approx 4'' over the 6'1'' that you say is ok. My only other issue, is going to be the 18 litre tank, which is a bit of an oversight by Luigi, cause I have bought this bike to do some major European mileage, and being so comfortable it is going to be an annoyance to have to keep looking for fuel just when your in the swing !

Has anyone had any issues with the ally panniers, I am thinking of ordering these as opposed to the plastic ones ?

Screen

Bigtex, I have looked into the screen, with ref to it being the same as the Norge..... it is different, the Selvio has dimples where it mounts, the Norge does not, plus I am lead to believe from my dealer that the curvature is not quite the same, but they are looking into producing a selection of different height screens plus a smoked option for the Stelvio, as they did for the Norge.....I'll keep you posted on this, if I get anymore info and some pics.
Guzzirider, just out of interest and if it is not a rude question how much do you weigh ? as you had to wind up your spring. And how are you getting on with the Stelvio in general ?

Ex Demo!! they arnt due in OZ 'till next month,(but they said that last month)
And looks like the MM Granpasso will arrive then too...$21990 AUD +onroads
I expect the Stelvio will be in that ballpark figure too.
This segment of the markets getting a bit crowded...
Btw,the pic above looks like Norge panniers??
