Checked out a Stelvio to day, awesome bike. Told the scooter saleman (sucks putting motorcycles in scooter stores) to tell his MG rep that if the bike had abs and a bigger tank I would have written a check...

Had a nice ride to Dent in Cumbria yesterday and met up with the lads and lasses from Huddersfield MAG. Was really icy on the descent from Barbon down into Dent, and it must have got to about minus 10 degrees C last night, but I knew it would be a bit chilly so packed my cold weather gear. Whenever my head knocked the ceiling of the tent, I got covered in ice because it was frozen even inside. Was very icy this morning too- had a very careful ride home via Ribblehead and the A65. Stelvio was ace in these conditions- there is a lot of feel from the tyres and brakes which makes it less stressful on icy wet roads.

Wow :) Excellent pics. Do you had heated grips on the Stelvio? Last year I had to drive 15 miles in -5 on a loan bike without heated grips or hard guards, and even with winter gloves god did my hands hurt :)

No heated grips- for some reason nobody in my family feels the cold much- must be some Nordic blood in us!

After 2 hours riding in sub zero temperatures my hands were still warm- thick Hein Gericke winter gloves helped!

Very well said! Unfortunately too many people that buy Guzzis soon forget why they bought a Guzzi. Soon cries of "Why cant Guzzi give the same customer service on warranties as Honda." "I can walk into a HD dealer and .........." "Why cant Guzzi be more like the other mfgrers." And of course whom ever is responsible for importing this wonderful motorcycle gets blasted into hell. Its always nice to hear HD fanatics, including the 1%, say "Thanks to AMF HD is still around, and not in the history books.

I were gonna go up to Dent meself on sat but due to circumstances never made it.
Weather looks better than last years pissing rain though, even though it were freezing cold

Does anyone know if H&B is going to sell those top open boxes unbranded? I saw the composite aluminum and plastic ones, but I like the look of those plain all black ones.
