The Wee looks a little undone IMHO with an unbalanced tail and naked underbelly. I sat on a Superduke yesterday and the local KaTooM dealer and the that is a Fugly Bike.....

Nothing wrong with the one pipe look, Unless you use the tail of the 1000 (made for two pipes) without redesigning it, which is exactly Suzuki did to sell you the bike for less money. The 650 should have it's own rear fender and side plastics "Designed" for a single pipe system. Also re-rout the pipe and/or add a skid plate. Beauty is subjective. And it's usually the small details that make the difference. Most of time people are not aware of that. But seeing as how I am pretty fuckin smart I will share this little tid-bit to make your life a little better. Your Welcome

That's what I'm saying. The 650 should have it's own fender. Would get rid of that empty spot, like a tool tube or something. I'm not baggen on the 650 at all.

It's the one
In my search for the Saint Grial of motorcycles, I have been through:
VFR750, GSXR750, VFR800, K1200RS and DL1000. The K1200RS ('02) was super sophisticated and all torque, I sold it. The Gixer ('99) was an scalpel, a laser beam, best dialed engine ever, I sold it. The VFR750 ('95) was a great bike, could do it all, touring, commuting, track days, I sold it. The VFR800 ('02) is amazing, reliable, comfortable, fast, forgiving, best brakes, good looking, quality all over. I am not riding it much and I am seriously thinking about selling it. The DL1000 ('02) is the slowest, has not much wind protection (cut off windshield), it is tall, not as smooth as the rest, not as attractive as the rest but it has the biggest soul. It brings the best out of you. It is an exercise of self restrain, the imposibility of showing off, no room for bragging. It makes you a humble man, a quiet hero. It causes silent orgasms, thousands of private smiles, does not draw any attention and it forces you to do one thing, and one thing only, riding. Period. p.s. english is my second language. Not trying to be a poet, for obvious reasons. This motorcycle inspires to be one and tell the world what she is made of. |

New V-Strom owner
OK, I'm in. Picked up a new red 2006 DL1000 today in Plano, TX. It'll replace my '04 CBR1000RR that I traded in, and also my '06 KLR (now for sale). Assimilation and Reduction all-in-one!
