Yeah man,

As a matter of fact I was about done when I went back and verified that the lobes go down. I had the marks even with the head and the T line was right in the notch.

I've got good spark and gas to the carb.

I'm gonna go rip the thing apart again, but I'll check back frequently.

HAHAHA yeah yeah yeah, I know what I did because I wanted to figure out WTF happened, When I turned the motor clockwise instead of counter clockwise it went out of time. That doesn't seem right to me, and neither does the fact that the damn thing still isn't running. Two plugs, two CDI's and the electronics check out. I have all other functions and can cycle all of my safety switches. The bike is acting like I have the off buttton pushed when I go to start it, even though it's not.

Any ideas?

is drilling the holes to .328" going to provide enough wiggle room or shall I go slightly larger?
BTDT. I mis-orderd my last set of nipples but they were real close so I built the wheel anyway. When I started tightening the wheel up it became evident that yeah I did have the wrong size nipple as the nipple wanted to come straight out of the rim instead of at the angle towards the hub. I started drilling some of the holes and some are still fucked up. As it's my bike I said screw it. If I was getting paid for it as this has happened in the past I would exchange the nipples.

There's the right way (exchange the dam nipples) and the other, not so good way. Take pride in your work? It's worth the down time to do it correctly.

Rant OVER 'n OUT...

I'm on a no carb diet for two more weeks. I have been itching to try my Pumpkin beer and the other Belgian that I made but I got my my weight down, the Navy is doing measurements soon. It's one of those thing that LOTS of people go through every 6 months. It sucks, but it pays the bills.
