Funny you should say that... I actually soaked it in a airtight plastic container from tj maxx. I cleaned it off in the kitchen before she got up... I thought the smell would be gone by the time she got up... but I was wrong

Grab a scrub brush and go with the "I was scrubbing the sink" story!

Amen! Instead of getting scolded for cleaning a carburetor in the kitchen, you score points for helping with the housework.

That's no joke man. It's almost impossible to do anything there early, by early I mean before noon. I haven't been everywhere in Europe, but I can tell you that Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey and a couple few thers LOVE their late sleep and that thing called a Siesta! FWIW, no bike shop in any of the above listed countries carried or could get that part.

I can tell you that getting that gear in Japan is EASY. My inlaws ordered one and sent it to me, took about a month all together. When I get back over there in about a year I'll send em to whoever wants em. It'll be USPS shipping. I'll be able to get the prices for sure once I get there, they might do a group discount... time will tell.

Tell me about it. I was riding through Italy in Aug 09 and almost ran out of gas. I had 18 euros in coins and my debit card. Well every gas station was closed from noon till 4pm and the machines on the pumps only took folding money or EU debit cards. The ONLY business I found open was a coffee shop where I could turn in 10 euros in coins to get a 10 euro bill and got enough gas until 4pm when the gas stations opened back up.
