check the side of the jets for the keihin symbol punched into them....if Keihin go down to 158 main...if you have the stock air filter you might need to go lower...do Daves mods.......shim the needle,,pull the snorkle..

You may have to go lower on the main...but this will get you close,,,55 pilot should be good..

What is he doing. Making a huge dust cloud to disguise the number of bikes present so as to scare his emeny. Ever seen the movie " The Charge of the Light Horsemen".

How about this guy " breaking in " his new leather vest. I was out for a quick spin back behind the hood and came across him " doing his thing".

Dose anybody else think just two turns out on the idel mix screw is not enough and could be the cause of the hard starting?
Maybe, but also check the choke plunger installition. It is easey to cross thread the cap and this would result in a vac leak.

My exhaust valves were tight. So i adjusted them.
I put new throttle cables and choke cables on. They didn't need to be replaced, but i did it anyway.
The old cables look good. The throttle cables are a little sticky. If anyone wants them chime in.

As far as my jets. The pilot had the star on it, but as far as the main, i can't make out the marks on the jet.

It is possible that adjusting the fuel screw may help, low idle can cause hard start, good point.depends on how hard to start it is..but 165 is alot of main jet,,should be addressed too...
