Hard to tell with all of the exhaust noise. How about trying again outside the garage?

Thank you, Steve. If you have time after you arrive home, please explain how part #7 works.

In my humbe opinion ebc's are WAY overpriced...

I like Tusk products, and I was going to recommend a Tusk brake rotor, but I couldn't find one manufactured for the XR650L.

I'll have to bring the XR600 service manual to work tomorrow. The home computer took a dirt nap yesterday.

No problema, senor. I thought perhaps Tusk previously made a rotor for the XR650L, but discontinued it.

For the big guys out there 230+ lbs, are you running .47 or .50 KG spring rates in the front. I am ready to pull the trigger and I want to make sure that I only do this once. I don't do single track. Fire roads and street sometines fast in the dirt mostly reasonable.

I'll have a 12.5 in the rear courtesy of Steve.

Thanks

Better. Doesn't sound bad. Can you do it again in daylight so we can see the bike better?

Apparently part #5 partially opens the exhaust valve to decrease engine compression to 92 psi as the starter motor turns the crankshaft at 400 rpm. I reach this conclusion from reading page 1-7 of the XR650L Service Manual.

I have read you must loosen the right exhaust valve to at least 0.82 mm clearance before you can measure the actual engine compression with all valves closed. Is this correct? If so, part #5 must either be shorter than the adjacent cam lobe, or part #5 contacts a different part of the rocker.

It's tough to tell from a video soundtrack, but your engine doesn't sound bad to me, Dadster. Did you verify oil flow to the cylinder head?
