Quick question: pros and cons of swapping the Big Heavy OEM battery with a Lithium-Ion battery (besides weight-savings)? Someone mentioned that moving the battery allowed for installing the plastics from another model bike, etc. The weight savings is very compelling.

One more quick question: what tires should I get? Tempted at get the most aggressive DOTs possible but maybe 80/20s are a better bet for now.

Most use D606 Dunlops but I like Pirelli MT-21's.

The weight difference of the batter swap is not an issue for me.

Tires. Dunlop 606 rear, Pirelli MT21 front.

ok, serious question to xr's only guy... will the graphics fit on the clarke tank 4.0 or 4.7 tank, in addition to the IMS?

You can use the side plate from an XR600R once you remove the suitcase/tumor/goiter/battery box...
