I bought a set of lightly used death wings that came off a DRZ400, the factory tires. I'm running them right now because 90% of my riding is street. I have done a gravel road with them and it was better than I expected but I still wouldn't want them for more than that. I knew there rep before I bought them and only got them because I knew I'd be on the street at this point in my life. I do have a set of lightly used AC-10's in the shed just waiting for a good offroad trip. Thinking of working through the Taledega National Forest. It's about an hour west of home and would be nice to get into the hills for a run.

Back to the deathwings. Use them what they are made for and you'll be fine. IMO, they aren't an offroad tire.

The dirt was ON POINT today! It rained during the week so the dirt was perfect... Bonus: the temps today were in the 70s. Pigs playing in the dirt:

Good times! The dirt was good today, even my worn front stocker wasn't scaring the shit out of me. Looking forward to doing some desert riding (Silver City) in the not to distant future.

I installed my "new" dash board today...

I had to get rid of the Vapor before I go overseas and have to get it inspected, and I will not be putting it back on, so if anyone wants a used but working Vapor with the stealth dash, an extra speed sensor and the XR's only speedo spacer PM me an offer or it'll go up in the flea market in a few days. The only thing you'll have to get is a magnet for the speed sensor, mine is JB welded into my rotor.

I can send pics of the stuff if you're interested.

That seat is gorgeous! In Eric Gorr's bible on motocross maintenance he says do not attempt to use a hand stapler, you must use an air stapler, or something close to that. Keep us posted on the seat and how it's treating your back side.

It was on my bike when I bought it. The guy I got my bike from built it for a trip he did.

For the pick up magnets on digital computers, like the Vapor, Voyager etc., just JB weld a rare earth magnet (small work fine) to your rotor. I drill a slight depression first. I buy the magnets at my local hardware store. They come in packs of 4 or 6.
