Steve, Since I am going to be buying the parts for the front any suggestions for whose wheel I should get. I was thinking of dropping some coin and calling Woody for the parts. If I go that route I will PM you for an addy and I ship the hub to you and have the parts shipped direct to you.
I know I'll owe you some $$, I may just have to send some fermented hops your direction also. I have a buddy that makes a nice home brew. This will have to be a late winter early spring project. Still recovering from getting a second set of wheels for the BMW.

650l oil separator
I am looking to buy a oil separator and hoses for the L. Does anyone have one they would sell? Pm me and let me know. I might have some stock parts we could trade for. Thanks Ben

Lonestar,
Best bet is to find a CRF-X front wheel. X axle and speed-o drive and your set to use the OE speedometer. If you can source these parts it's plug 'n play. If you want to use a Vapor computer then a R wheel will do. Depending on what triples you get you have a couple of choices for the stem. Emig if you use CRF triples, OE if the RSW triple or get a CRF and turn it down.

So if you get the CRF forks turned down you can use the stock XRL triples?

XR 400 oil cooler for sale
XR400 oil cooler
Figured I would give you guys the first offer on this one before I put it in the flea market. I'll post it up there tomorrow. The first buyer fell thru so..... I have an XR400 oil cooler for sale. Its just the cooler, no lines or anything. Its in a bag, wrapped in duct tape, and then another bag. Didn't want it leaking on my stuff. ![]() After looking on Ebay I figured a good price would be... $110 shipped.

Ya, I had it on a shelf because someone wanted it. Since he was using the postal system with a check I gave him a lot of time. However its been 3 weeks with very little communications. So I've decided not to sell it to him since his last email said "The wife should have sent it out a week ago, I'll check it out when I get home and email you back." That was about 4 days ago. If his check ever shows up, I'm ripping it up and trashing it. So its now for sale again. Do you want it?

Today I did some maintenance on my XR650L, so I took the opportunity to examine my chain slipper roller. Here is a photograph of that roller after 29,000 miles of wear.
![]() For the purpose of comparison, here is a photograph of the same chain roller after 8,000 miles of wear. ![]() ![]() I am very pleased with this chain roller; it only cost $10, and is virtually maintenance free. This chain roller makes a little noise, but I don't find it objectionable. If you decide to install a similar chain roller, I do recommend you add extra grease to the sealed bearings. ![]() Spud
