Question leaky pipe

Thanksgiving weekend ride coming up but I have one problem...I just installed a FMF powerbomb header and its connecting to a Q4 pipe. Problem is that even though I used high temp silicone on the header before I jammed it in the pipe, I have a leak at the joint. I don't know if it's because I fired the bike up with the silicone still wet or what. Should I clean the surfaces, use an assload of silicone and let it dry overnight? This is a common pipe/header combo and I can't find much info on leakage.

Remove the muffler and clean both the header and muffler joints. Apply sealant and assemble. Let dry overnight.

Done...

Thanks, Bomber

Don't you love the Chinglish descriptions on the website? You have to give them credit for trying.

This dual-action pulley system is rated at "1 ton capacity." OK, so here is the question: Will it pull my XRL up a grade, with just me pulling on the rope, after a fall? (I also need an elk pulley, so this is double duty...)

At $30 it is worth a try, I suppose.

PD
I just picked up one of these as well, I am going to test it out and report my findings. I was on a solo ride in the woods and got stuck on a small muddy incline, rear tire dug in nicely. Good thing a buddy of mine was on the way and found me but something like this could have helped possibly. It looks much easier to set up than one of these https://www.bestrestproducts.com/p-3...ystem-mrs.aspx

Same setup here... no sealant at all and no leaks. Hmmmm

Ya know, maybe your oil pump is not moving the oil out of the engine like it should. Have you made the check of the pump by removing the bolt in the clutch cover while the bike is level on a stand and running? If oil gushes out the pump is not pumping well.

I know this has been discussed at some length , but I am looking at maybe an early x- mas gift I was wondering from those who have made the swap, what they felt was the best route to follow on this.
Which triple clamps are the easiest and provide the best results? Cut up stockers, emig, rsw?
250. or 450 forks, I have the acerbics tank( if weight is involved in the equation ) and I weigh over 200

I appreciate the feed back, just trying to make the swap as simple as possible so I do not fall into paralysis by analysis syndrome. Which I found is profoundly exacerbated through the consumption of said beverages.

rsw is quickest and easiest as everything bolts right up all you need to do is press stem out of old and into the new clamps... careful it only goes one way

Maybe the clamp is too far towards the end of the muffler pipe? I feel the leak coming from the muffler pipe cutout
