76 RD400c XRL bars were just place holders till the low Renthals showed up, not sure I like them either. I think the tire is mounted up to Avons spec for front use. I have a 77 also but no title as it was a farm bike for most of its life and no one had any idea who had title ownership to it + the 77 was very rusty.

You made me go and look.

The U.S.F.S. fire watchers disapproved, I needed the exercise, and I didn't want to disturb the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep.

When I first moved to Colorado Springs I found an area where the big horns hung out. I spent an afternoon sneaking up on them in the brush so I could get some better pictures. When I was done taking pictures I stood up expecting them all to take off. They just gave me a quick look and went back to grazing. Seems they were more used to seeing people than I was of seeing big horn sheep

Sorry, no sheep in this picture

I've discovered the ewes and lambs aren't terribly camera shy.

However, the rams are more reclusive.

Question

I know this is the wrong forum for this but which one is right???

My buddy has this 1929 Harley Davidson JDH 74ci 1200cc twin cam frame as seen in his shop. No engine, has transmission.

Here's my question... Whats it worth????

This is what a nice one looks like.

Very cool! I know those guys on American Pickers step up on that kind of stuff especially with the trans.

Plan is finally in place. CRFX forks procured check, Triples being procured check, front wheel being procured check, suspension guru (George at ESP) dialed in check.

Time to start transforming the big girl into a much more capable off road machine.

While I am at it, square headlight bye-bye, same with the front mask. New Dakar Style mask with twin LEDs fron Sanjon.

I am so ready to start this.

Hey, MentalGuru,

Interesting question. Remember that "worth" is defined by the amount that somebody would pay the owner to take possession of the item (and NOT what the owner thinks he could sell it for in the market). You are as knowledgeable as any on this thread: What would YOU pay your friend for this frame + transmission? Your answer would be a good proxy for its true "worth."

BTW: I wouldn't part with 2 red cents for this. Thus, to me it is worthless, but then my opinion probably is, too.

PD

They didn't back then. Stan's tubeless system...uses regular tires. I used them on my XC bike back then.

I have no clue what it is worth. I don't want it.

He is thinking about selling it but doesn't know what price to put on it.

I think its cool wall art thou...
