Thanks Flatfender, I actually managed to figure it out on my own after making that post and doing further research. All I need to do now is pick myself up a good set of Metric Calipers so I can measure the shims I have so I know which ones are which.

XRL sign in

Nothing fancy, just a pic sitting in the garage.
I have always been a euro bike guy and only picked this up because the guy said he would sell it to me for $900. (rich guy with no concern for blue book) Nothing was wrong with it so I figured it would make a good buddy bike.

Now I think this bike kicks @ss. I am having more fun on this 900 dollar pig than on my 9000 dollar 650GS.

Maybe next time out I will get some good action shots.[IMG][/IMG]

Is that a Cheng Shin 755 rear? If so, what mileage are you getting out of it?

just got back from my first night ride on my recently purchased 95. what kind of output will the stator on this thing push? And, does any one have any good recomendations for some clean looking extra lighting? Or, a better headlight? Liking this bike, but the lighting isn't quite bright enough for dark rides.

btw: carb mods, emissions crap removed, an aftermarket seat with gripper, white bro's titanium slip on, tiny ass turn signals, rear light replaced with a small one, renthal bars, 11 thou on the odo, 14 t front sprocket, some knobs, and i think that's about all the farkles. Not exactly the ultimate WV woods weapon, but getting to the woods can be half the fun where I live.

What it is the carb fuel bowl vent, in water all it has to do suck just enough for the carb not to vent right, bike dies, water comes out, bike able to starts right up. look on side of carb, theres a line that comes out just above the top of bowl on the fuel in side. Trace it out from carb, 1/4" this is where mine T off, one goes to the top of the carb and the other goes to the bottom below swing arm.
Try this, find ends of hose or hoses, start bike and cover ends up with your fingers and watch how fast the bike will die.
If yours is not T then T it, all you have to do is get in water upto swingarm height and bike dies.
If your is T then your good till water level upto top of carb.
I wouldn't relocate the top one, some people add enough hose to get it up close to head light.
Lets face it, if your in water up to the top of carb, the bike needs to die, its no good to suck water in to the motor at 4000 rpm!!!!!!!! NO-GOOD
Thanks for that. I will try blocking the hoses and see what happens. I don't think this was the deepest water I have been in. Certainly been above the swingarm. I just got in too fast. I opened the airbox when I got across and it was bone dry.
