These guys were all cranky.... made me follow them to an off ramp (no bikes on the toll roads in Indonesia). I shouldn't have slowed down and let them catch me

These guys were somewhere in central Java about 5 days back, taking a photo of their new patrol car. Happy to have a chat.

Yesterday.

These guys were a bit hot under the collar at first. Another toll road. I'd already outrun four others, but these guys were very, verry good.

It ended with smiles. They even fed and watered me (a bottle of Pocari Sweat and a jam bread roll). They were insisting on trucking me out... on a flatbed truck, but I convinced them I'd ride behind them on the breakdown lane.

The really sad thing was that my piece of shit Garmin Montana, with Garmin SE Asia software had sent me in the wrong direction again. Another 2 hours riding in Jakarta traffic, just to pass my starting point for another go at it. How do you sleep at night Mr Garmin?

The Tour de France passed about 100 feet from my front door last year. More moto cops than I could count. This is one of the motorized Gendarmes.

Here is a police motorcycle skills competition that was held here in Tallahassee in 2011. Lots of Harleys and BMWs. Oh, to have such skill...

These guys are fast, smooth and sneaky. You check your mirrors and nothing there. Check again and a blue FJR is right on your ass. He will follow for a while and then pass and disappear in the distance with no effort at all. Impressive riders.

After informing me that he suspected that I must not have seen a POSTED sign ... The PO asked if I'd go have a good ride around back in there to see if I could help locate a stash dump of discarded stuff from a series of car break ins.

I lifted this from somewhere a long time ago - maybe Harley's site.
