The only Capital Police bikes I've seen around (motorcade escorts and such) have been HD with sidehacks. Loud as shit, too. DC police ride Rebel two-fiddys. Every time I see one I think they'd be much better off on a DR-Z400S, a DR-650 or a KLR650. The little Rebel ain't so bad, though. That's what I rode when I took my MSF course.

Thirty-some years ago Anchorage had a couple of white Gold Wing cop bikes. There was one motor cop you would often see cruising up and down Northern Lights Blvd. (when it was two-way) with his pipe in his mouth. Too bad I never took photos of him.
