FYI, you can put spray can paint into a little cheap sprayer, just a nail through the bottom of the can, rag covered of course. I use a small nail, then let the gas out, takes a while, then a bigger nail and throw it in the sprayer. Sprays much better and you don't have to spend much on paint

I'm sure a YouTube video of this would go viral in a day!

Some guy told me about this a few weeks ago, seems it is one way to get paint that EPA doesn't let you buy. My thought was the can would explode but no, just a slow hissing of the gas escaping and a bit of paint with it. First time I used a bigger nail and lost a little paint but a small nail seems to minimize it. I'm surprised that it takes so long for the gas to escape. Oh and the paint can gets really, really, cold. I did it to spray a metal front door, much smoother application. Really, nothing blows up

Hi all,
New to the forum, been browsing for quite some time though.
Ive been on a ten year break from bikes but decided in December it was time.
My first bike was a 86 DR600 and I loved it, so I decided another DR would be fitting for my two wheeled return.
I read up quite a lot and decided what I was looking for when it came to mods etc.
After test driving quite a few I came upon one that already had the mods I really wanted, a TM40 carburator and an Ohlins damper system.

Rang the seller up and went for a test drive. The difference compared to the others I've test driven was huge.
The difference between the bikes I tested with the standard carb compared to this one with the TM40 was like night and day response wise. I knew straight away I was sold on it.

This however was nothing compared to the difference between the Ohlins and the stock rear. Fantastic is all I can say.

Bought the bike Saturday afternoon and have sofar done around 500km on gravel with it. I'm so very pleased.

Besides the mentioned mods it has a Clark tank, Suzuki GSX-R muffler (titanium) among other stuff.

Here's hoping for the links to work...

I would be curious to know where the Ohlins rear shock compression/rebound adjusters are set from seated if you don't mind.

Sorry I meant the rebound and compression adjusters themselves.
How many clicks are they out from seated.

I have some Ohlins parts also, but the shock is set on all the clicks off then four on which I doubt is normal.

What is the model # of this Ohlins shock? What is it from? I have not heard of a lot of people using it. Is it a straight bolt on?

It's not an off the shelf item, but it's specifically for the DR650.
