The guard was part of the "Police Package". It had mounts for the siren.
![]() We replaced the police lights with PIAA lights ![]() The dealer kept the radio rack on the rear, it had lights too. It was a very cool bike and served us well. The wife put 12K on it in 12 months. We sold it and it resides in Tucson now. FlagGS P.S. All brackets and mounts are from BMW.

![]() Nice! Those mounts would make a nice place to tuck in some more lights, if you hadn't put them up top already that is. Never seen a F650GS police bike. Very cool. I have said for years that the cops ought to ride something dual-sporty like this. That way, people wouldn't escape (never mind that if the crook went over 90mph he would get away pretty easily, but STILL!). |

![]() My 2005 GS in touring mode. Yes, I have XM and I love it. GPS next. Here's the Gypsy Moth doing a little dirty work, Gypsum Hills, Kansas. ![]() I didn't think the original, orange seat was comfortable, so I'm running the thicker, softer Dakar seat. Other mods include TT fairing guard,TT LED tailight, TT stainless steel pegs, Wunderlich windshield, BMW handguards w/TT add-ons, re-geared rear sprocket to 44 teeth (gives 80 mph at 5k rpm), K&N filter, Engine Ice coolant, Kuryakyn throttle paddle, BMW luggage and heated grips. Recently installed the Staintune muffler:

Here's mine in camo. I've made it so it blends in with the rest of the junk in my garage.

Sscratch man, your pictures never cease to amaze me!
How do you guys like those low front fenders on the GS? Does it really cut down on dirt and such? |

Flux-
Great thread! Some really nice representation of the F Bike. They're great machines that fill a solid and unique niche (not to mention they are equally ragged on by KLR and KTM drivers). Plus, they're respected by Royalty....
