Zoom Zuma......
I bought my wife a.......
![]() After seeing her ride it a couple of times I could tell she was gonna be riding it quite a bit, and since she wouldn't let me anywhere near it I found an '03 with 181 miles on the odometer for a grand and decided to join her......just hope no one takes a picture of my big butt on it.....well at least until I can get a full faced helmet with smoked shield... We had a blast riding together on the back roads, once she gets used to riding again (she had a Chappy 25 yrs ago) perhaps we will take on a few fire roads as well...mine at least will be confined to Florida for now as it isn't ready in stock form to pull me up a hill.....

Cool! Another pair of zumae!
$1,000 for a low-miles Zuma? Dammit, why don't I ever find those deals.
Zumas are cool.Hey, once they break in, they get mondo horsepower. Well, not mondo, but they do loosen up a bit and give another .0005 hp at the crank. Post pics when you can.

The one I got for the wife is just like the one in the pic....mine is black but doesn't have the flames or black wheels.... The used one I bought was purely luck....or fate perhaps...

That's a smokin' deal on a Zuma!
I bought mine new last fall and have had a blast ridng it to work when the weather is good and doing errands. I have the racing blue one which is good for another 5mph at least! I think a hop up is order if I ever quit buying stuff for the Wee Strom. How much do I have to spend to get good power wheelies?

goodbye Zumas......
Well our love affair with the Zumas came to an end last time home. Having to get on a 55mph road to get to the back roads was wearing thin, and getting dangerous too.
We traded them on a couple of new 125 Vinos.....so far so good. I miss the fat tires and sand capability of the Zuma but that is all I miss. The Vino will hold it's own on a 55mph (flat/no head wind) road and has allowed us to venture out more. I wanted to go with something bigger but my wife insists on taking baby steps...I want her to be comfortable as she is still learning so I agreed. My plan is to leave them as they are as I feel she will want to move up again next year, if not I'll look into making mine a little faster.....is there a governor on these things? They seem pretty sluggish for a 125...maybe it's a combination of break in and my size... We managed to put a few hundred miles on them while I was home, my wife is gaining in confidence with each ride. It's great to ride together in Florida now as our R1200GS is staying in Tennessee these days. Our first ride on the GS this time was scary after riding the scooters so much....
