I need to pick up a stock/tall seat. I'm not a fan of the low version.

Try posting a Want to Trade in BadWeb. I traded my low seat for a high seat within a week or two of posting a WTT.

Thanks jeventures. I'm trying to track down a local Uly owner that has either the stock or the tall so I can try it out first.

There is a low seat for the Uly? It's possible to get it by the HD dealer?

Hm, this will be a good possibility. The standard seat feels so... Hm, weak?!?

I don't know if it is still available but here's a link showing the difference.

The photos at the link should help you out. Only the 2006 came stock with the tall seat. A low seat was offered as an accessory in 2006. The 2007-up Uly's came stock with yet a different seat, which is approximately the same height as the 2006 low accessory seat. The low accessory seat apparently has a gel insert and the cover and contour are slightly different from the 2007-up seat. I'm pretty sure the low accesory seat is NLA from dealers, but you may find one on ebay or at Badweb. The standard 2007-up seat is probably available as a replacement part.

Rode up to Mount Baker on the 5th.

Update: took those cases off today and I would swear to god I just picked up like 10 horsepower. They push an imperial assload of air.

FWIW, you can get either the tall or short seat from New Castle HD for $80 + shipping ($18 for me in Chicago). Total was under $100 which isn't too bad. I figured that given the few reasonably priced options, I might as well try the tall seat. Hopefully I can still hold the bike up :)

I ordered a new EBR brake rotor and the race mount kit for the Uly.

Old busted

New hotness

For some reason I neglected to take a photo of it on the bike.
