Who says Uly's can't handle mud?

Mine did just fine in the mud.

Loving the new Uly!

Got tired of waiting for the Orange Uly so bought the Blue and immediately placed an order for the Orange parts.

I picked up my new 2008 Uly last week and apart from some minor troubles it's been great. Breaking it in (about 350 miles so far) and having a great time with it.

The minor troubles:
The wire form that holds the clutch cable away from the header snapped at 22 miles, cable melted some, I tied it back and my dealer overnighted a new cable & wire form and installed it while I waited. The other item was the Hepco bags needed some adjustment (missing bolts & rear pegs were hitting).

Sounds like a good dealer as it should be.

Did you order the orange seat too? I'm sure there will be a bunch of takers on the blue parts, it's a nice shade of blue.

Now you can change your title to : 08 uly owner/soon to be orange

If you don't mind my asking, how much did the additional body panels cost?

Teton/Yellowstone Trip

5 Days, 1,660 miles. Longest day was 480 miles.

Averaged 55 mpg.

Traveled with a Kawasaki Zrx1100, HD Dyna Lowrider, Honda VTX 1800 and a VTX 1300. No one else in the group had the bike or the wilingness to take any dirt roads, so it was a Pavement trip this time.

muddy bike

GOTDRT,
Those are some great pix of a well trained baby. It sounds like anything else that plays in the mud, it takes a long time to get it all out. Maybe you need to find a couple of decent water crossings to help wash it off. Just a thought. Great work.

I think that you found the best color over all for the ULY.

I didn't know the Uly's came with wipers for the headlights, just like a Mercedes.

Hehe... They don't, just a very well designed front fender. Protects the headlights very well.
