Nice Ren. What are you riding?

I rented a Sportster with a 2 gallon tank. The dealer said I would get 160 kp per tank. NOT!
I just wasn't thinking. Half way up a 32km mountain road, the fuel light goes on.
80 km per tank. I went to the top then coasted all the way down with the bike off.

I bought 2 bottles of water. Drank one, wasted the other. Gas cans, because I had no idea were empty was. I ran out once on a 450km ride.

Crampbuster on the left (in addition to the one on the throttle) makes a great palm rest for super-long miles that I do on these long trips. I use 'em both to run through "de-cramping" exercises during the day to keep my hands, wrists, and shoulders from getting overly achy... works very well for me.

Never seen it before, I always stop every 180km to prevent cramping.

@Hanzo: it's a Yamaha Ténéré XT660Z, I used to have one but didn't get more than 430km out of it.
My current BMW fuel reserve light went on after driving 565km, could still drive another 100-150km's before I would run out

The tank had still 2 litres and a half. Therefore, I could have driven some 40 kilometres more. One of my purposes is to travel from Soria (the place where I live) to Ourense (my birthplace) -530 kms- without refilling the tank.

Me too, but I also don't like to have problems with walking afterwards.

What is with that dude with the multiple GPS? Not sure why you would need 3. Anyway, here is my Yamaha RSTD. Garmin Zumo 660 that I use the mp3 player on with fitted headphones. Never was a fan of the gimicky speedo, but it gets the job done.

One thing that I see time after time. here..
Is the spot tracker on the handle bars...
What would happen if after a crash you were not able
to get back to the bike... Or even if it gets damaged
in the crash... thowen clear of the bike so it can't
be found...Surely carrying it in your jacket pocket
is a far cleaver idea...
I do realise it dosn't have the same bling/kool look
hidden in yer jacket pocket..
