Hope that you are through the surgery by now and that things are already turning out better than you may have been expecting. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family in this time of trouble. I hope to get an opportunity to meet you someday soon because of your amazing attitude. You have already been an inspiration to lots of folks by what you wrote initially. Keep us posted of your progress through the recovery.
Champ and Tami/ Atlanta,Ga.

Dale,
My prayers are with you.... A great inspirational book to read while recovering can be found at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0934672423/qid=1142389218/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/103-5292772-2613437?s=books&v=glance&n=283155 This is about Mike King's coast to coast trip in his chair.... (5600 miles in his wheel chair) Mike became a paraplegic after a motorcycle accident in I was fortunate enough to be his Scuba Instructor a few years ago for his Advanced open water and Scuba Rescue certifications.... yes, he is an active scuba diver without the use of his legs! He skis...and I think he even has a Harley... If you are interested, please PM me and I'll see if I can put you in touch with him.... God Bless.... Shawn |

Dale,
Like others that have posted, I'm so sorry to hear about your injuries. I do believe prayer can change things and I do believe in miracles. I would ask those of us Advriders that do pray to remember Dale in the days and weeks (and months) ahead. Please don't hesitate to ask for any type of assistance that you or your family may need. This group excels at that sort of thing.I pray that your surgery went well today and the doctors will have wisdom and skill in treating you. God bless you, bro. Bill |

Dale,
What many have said already.. we’ve got men, women and money ready, willing and able to swing a hammer if necessary to build ramps and who knows what else. You say the word and it’s done. Now. Your spirit is an inspiration and I count myself fortunate being shown it. I’m a sinner but I’ll do my best. We're all pulling for you.

Dale,
Please make it through this. You are every one of us. To top it off you are to be a father very soon, there is nothing that can take away from that joy. I read this thread with tears in my eyes as just this morning on my way to work traffic came to a quick stop. I was watching my mirrors, sure enough cell phone talking soccer mom behind me not paying attention despite my Hyper Lights. I pulled into the left hand turn lane and sure enough she slams on her brakes and come to within 2 inches of the car that was in front of me. I casually turned and flipped her off and moved on my merry way. Since I read this thread I have been shaken. I could so easily be where you are right now. All I thought if the incident at the time was to flip her off and then ride off. Now I want to educate everyone in the world as to how they can kill or maim one of us so easily. Get better man, I am only a days ride away and willing to do what is needed. I can build anything, please let me know what you or your family needs. Peace, John

Yo Dale, Prayers to you my AdvBrother. Nuther poster listed a few cases of people who got wiped and came back miraculously, and I have one too.
My Brother Ed was t-boned, then run over by a bike and then a car. He broke everything you can break, including spine. That was 15 years ago, and today he is healtheir than ever before in his life and even better because he has a lot of bionics! It was a tough road, he was tougher! Hope to see a blog-a-day from you as you go through this. God Bless! Sean

I came upon your tragedy after experiencing the euphoria of seeing my 12 yr old daughter being released from intensive care after major thoracic surgery today. I'm normally just a lurker, but feel compelled to offer encouragement and I'll include you in my prayers tonight. Your courage and strength of will is truly an inspiration to all. I hope you find strength from all the kind thoughts and prayers being sent your way.
