Dale,
It 's often difficult for someone to express the depth of the sympathy and concern they feel for someone in your circumstance especially if they don't know them personally. The words "our prayers are with you" and "that sucks" may seem shallow & cliched but carry much more weight than they appear simply because people have a difficult time articulating grief & sympathy for another, and so these phrases are used instead of trying to express the full extent of their concern & sympathy. Your post sent me into the shock that comes when someone is hurt bad or killed next to you. You want to hit the rewind button on time but it's not there.God has His reasons for having stuff like this happen to us, and you sound like a guy that understands that. That said , God, if I'm willing to give this guy a little bit of my strength, and I'm sure there's lots of others out here that would, how about You giving it to him- . Recovery is possible. My Dad was in a bad car accident at 17, got left there for hours, broke his back&neck, bunch of other stuff, paralyzed, amnesia. He recovered, was able to walk , work, run, reared a family. A friend of mine crashed his KTM on a dirt track, crushed vertebrae, messed up his spine, paralyzed. He recovered & is almost back to normal (it's a long process...) .My chiropractor was in a bad car accident , broke his back,& neck in 7-8 places, crushed ribs, broken legs, paralyzed. He recovered, became a chiropractor & doctor because of that crash. Runs 5-10 miles every day, some times with his kid on his back. So take heart, be strong, one day one step at a time, educate yourself about the human body, find a good trauma doctor, and look for that day when you can do it all again.

lycosthenes screwed with this post 03-14-2006 at 06:39 AM Reason: the thing posted by itself b4 I was done with it. ????

There are many miles ahead for you... I hope that somehow they will be the best of your life. You have family, you live in an age of wondrous medical technology.

Peace and strength in your recovery rider.

Not normally the praying type, but for this, you got it. Seeing as I ain't asked the big guy for much, maybe I got an account built up. Hope you clean it out.
