I don't know anything about back injuries, so this may be a moot point. But don't resign yourself to life in a wheelchair just yet. There's more than one person out there who had the docs tell them they would never walk again, and then proved the docs wrong.

Waiting to hear from Dale...we're PM'ing. Let's let him get through the next stage and see what his rehab timetable is. His wife will need support, too.

Perhaps a thread in JM to get people gathered for a ramp building would be a good step...on standby with the understanding that we're not pushing...

If he's got a couple steps an off-the-shelf aluminum WC ramp would do the trick, otherwise perhaps a wooden ramp would be needed.

Insurance is a variable...I was just thinking that maybe anything that would help Dale and his wife by smoothing out the process early on would be cool.

I am not a religious person, so in lieu of "prayer," I have dug a nice hole in the desert for the waste of skin that hit you. Let me know when you need it and I'll provide coordinates
