hey res,
i was hopeing to join you. in last three days i have performed a lot of after-winter maintenance and wrenching to make the bike ready for this ride: charged battery, add fluids, fixed all the parts that were broken after people knocked over the bike while parking (some spazz knocked it to one side and then tried to put it straight, missed the balance point, knocked it to another side and left the bike like that). although, crash bars were installed. yet somehow my fuel cap got locked. two of automotive locksmiths i called refused to work on italian. they say that aprilias locks are high security ones and they were unable to repair them. i'll be looking for a fix tomorrow. the point is i was already on reserve before the cap got stuck so no ride for me.
you all have a great ride. i'm sure i'll join another one soon.
see you.

Don't do it. You can buy oregano cheaper at one of the gourmet shops closeby.

Why does eveyone in NY wear black?
Because you only have room for 3 sets of clothing in your very small NYC closet. If they're all black, nobody knows you only have 3 sets.

yup, i signed up. as of yesterday there were 20 spaces left of the 75 allotted.

it sounds good but i'll have to determine the costs of getting some knobbies purchased and mounted for maybe the two days of dirt riding i'll do this year on the GS.

I'll be there too.

Dlew, if you consider that this activity is free, knobbies going to look free to you too. And you shouldn't change them back to road tires. This TKC80's are as good as road tires on asphalt.

PB XPLOR event

Yeah, LDF signed up, we both got the friday before off work, so we'll be heading down too. I ordered a Pirelli MT21 rear and Kenda Trackmaster II front for her F650GS. (Darren, I have a MC lift, irons, and a marc parnes balancer if you want to come over for a DIY tire change.) I'm not sure when I'm going to get a chance between when the tires arrive and when we leave , but it doesn't take long.

I don't have a BMW, but they may let me ride behind and pick up any pieces that fall off. If I collect enough, I may be able to McGuyver myself a frankenbmw .

I'm going as well on Friday. Anyone consider a pre arranged meeting place so that we (or some of us) can ride down together?....Maybe the Guy Lombardi rest stop?

yeah, thanks DD. good point. free food, too. cost of knobbies and accomodations should do it.
