How is your scoot titled? I thought I saw this same scooter advertised on another forum as being titled as an older Vespa?

Yeah I have 2001 Dragster 180. Spent three years waiting to find one. Just bought it in March. I also live in RI and I'm good friends with the guys at Javaspeed. Everyone at the shop tried to talk me out of getting a Drag but I have no regrets and ride it nearly everyday. The annual Spooky Scoot ride is coming up Oct. 25th you should come out with us. I love to check out that Runner of yours.

Hah! A runner and a dragster in RI! How cool! Honestly, I don't ride it much. that's why its for sale. I'd definitely be into getting together sometime. Why did they try to talk you out of it? Jealousy I might be able to swing Oct. 25th.. we'll see.

Parts come from Europe. As for service, you'd probably need to do it yourself, or, maybe a VEspa dealer could service it for you. It's a Piaggio (same as vespa) motor.

I live in Cumberland. Engine parts for the most part can be bought aftermarket but everything else you have to get used. Word is that Kinetic will be producing the Dragster in summer of 07 as a 4 stroke scoot. At least then parts would become available again.

The previous owner got the scoot titled. . Lucky for me because he said it was a real hassle.

There are some hoops you have to go through to get a European car/bike here into the states. No, they won't take it away. I researched it once...lots of paperwork involved, and some dough. Easier if they've opened the market to them in Canada though...much easier.

Mostly because its so rare. They're relatively cheap in Europe. That said, it is a pretty amazing machine. Claimed 25hp from the factory. Its quicker than my 12GS up to around 60mph. Mine is the last 2stroke version of the runner. Front and rear disc brakes. Mine, being titled and in such great shape is worth more than one not titled and beat. Ultimately, its worth what someone will pay.
Curious what dragster180 paid for his dragster. There's more of those in the states than runners. They share the same liquid cooled 2 stroke Piaggio motor.

The Dragster I bought was up for sale in Feburary of 2005 but the owner never returned my emails and I thought I lost it. A year later it popped up for sale again and with much persistence I grabbed it for $4000.
The Bet and Win is a fine scooter I've ridden one but pales in comparison to a Runner/Dragster performance wise.

These scooters are absolutely wicked machines but not that much fun to ride due to the powerband.

Hey... can you explain why this scoot is not that much fun to ride ? Is it quick off the start ?
