middle of the Pine Barrens
I found this old foudation in the middle of the Pine Barrens in Southern New Jersey. Nothing but dirt roads for miles around this location.

Hearing about this place, last fall I rode from home to visit "White Otter Castle" in western Ontario. At the end of the road I rented a boat, and after another hour or more, including a truck portage, arrived at this structure. It's way back in the bush and remote! It's under restoration, but it's old. Built single handed.
There was a World War 2 POW camp near by. Noone wanted to escape, since it is also far from any road.
