Hey melville! Where is that? Approximately, of course. Did you get any interior shots?

That's some very cool history right there.

I'm envious. After growing up in that area I never got to get that close to history like that.

Here's what I was doing there:

http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/G...9-4e0c3b431476

And if you can't see that, N 40 13.394 W 123 38.579.

The interior is still mostly dry, but the roof is starting to go. I don't think the building itself is terribly old. Might even be postwar. We've been trainless for nearly 20 years here.

I'm trying to convince Muriel that she REALLY wants to live 40 miles from town, at the end of a bumpy, twisty, sometimes dirt road. Other than that, she likes it. Then we can start talking to the railroad authority

Good to see a fellow geocacher around here. Geocaching and dual sports are a perfect match to me

There are quite a few geocachers running around finding caches on their dual sport bikes. It fun when you find one and you are signing after an ADVrider name you are familiar with - assuming of course they use the same name on both sites.

Geocaches can take you to some very interesting places that you otherwise might not know about.

No service here

I've been an admirer of this thread for a long time and have been meaning to post this up for almost as long. It's nothing that special but I just like the looks of it. It's been closed down for as long as I can remember.
Anyway, I finally got around to getting a shot of it. This is along Hood Canal South of Brinnon, WA.

I saw a crew of dual-sporters coming the other way after I was done with my 10 miles of dirt and geocaching that day. I'll have to get one--my Airhead is more of a B/S (Bright/Shiny) than a G/S.

And I would not have gone there but to get the find.

I posted this in the old school pic thread. We found it geocaching. Back then, we only had street bikes. Now we both have dual-sports too.

Nice! I've yet to run across a fellow ADV'r while caching, but then again 99% of my caching is with the family so I have a different mindset and different username.

see ya out there
