Thumb Oldest so far?




Porta di Diana, Volterra, Toscana, Italy. It is one of the two remaining gates in the Etruscan city wall. According to the original design, a wodden structure was built on top.

The city walls was build between 500BC and 400BC. They are immense! Mostly destroyed by the Roman invasion in 298BC. Thus, this structure has been abandoned for 2.300 years. Any better?
