The first looks like a floating dredge. They probably had a man-made lake there.

The last look like some sort of smelters, to melt whatever they were mining out of the ore.

You are right on the first photos and damn close on the second set!

The first pick is of the Yankee Fork gold dredge. Pretty heavy machinery operating 24/7 in the late 1800's early 1900's. Even in the dead of winter.

The kilns were used to create charcoal to melt down the silver they were pulling out from the Bayhorse mine.

Ice Caves,Salmon River, Idaho....!
Twice as big as it looks, all built against an ice cave. Shelves still full of canned goods, but from the smell,abandoned a few years ago.
A few more in that style down the road,bad time for my batteries to die...!

And to the above.....Gold Dredge No 4, Bonanza Creek, Yukon! National Historic Site.....Quick answer.....!

And believe it or not there was such a dredge close from where I come from in Quebec, someone stole it....for scrap....!

The bottom one is the mill at Crystal. Its a ghost town in Colorado close to Marble. Great area, need a decent 4x4 to get there. 1st one is around Buckskin Joe in CO, another ghost town area.
