first attempt. i decided to turn it around and mount it so the lines go under the motor but i wanted to show you the pain in the butt part. the cooler lines are big and the banjo bolts are small. i had to get a brass fitting from lowes that has a 3/16 barb on one side and is threaded like a bolt on the other. All i did was jam the threaded part into a 2inch piece of hose that came with the cooler and clamped it down. then i clamped the small hose to it and ran them to the filter and to the case. the blue hose is my CRT (coolant recovery tank) hose. i mounted the ktm CRT behind the radiator

another view- i had to order 3/16 steel braided hose from ebay. it has not gotten here yet. all i did was took the oil change bleed hose off. The hose that goes from the filter to the left case. i took both banjo bolts apart- turns out the banjo bolt is held on by a 3/16 barb. Then i got some 3/16 hose and some hose clamp and clamped it all together.

looks good dirty. i have a oil cooler off a ducati monster i cant fig out if i am going to add to the 625 or the ADV. i am leaning more to the 625 just so i can get a little extra oil in the motor. started to pull apart the shocks tonight and damn the guy who owned it before me really did not keep up on the up keep of this bike. fluid was really bad and low and the seals looked like shit. hoping to get it back together by fri and go for a trail ride with some good forks!!!!! anyone know what size person the springs are for in the forks?

thanks for the info and photos. i have been thinking about mounting one of these
http://www.jagg.com/jagg/pages/jagghome.htm Not sure which one, the smallest I guess. they hold this much oil (from FAQ page) How much oil capacity does your cooler add to my bike? A 6-row oil cooler will add approximately 6oz. A 10-row oil cooler will add approximately 8oz. So I calculate that at about 180ml and 240ml plus whatever is in the lines. Cheers David |

Sucks about the forks- how can you tell if the oil is low? I just put bleeder valves on mine. My drz was not taken care of either. it is frustrasting indeed when you learn the hard way. The first ride on the drz and the chain broke at about 60. no big deal but not a good first impression. They talk about how much work you have to do on ktms- but i always had to do work to my drz. replaced cylinder a couple times, rod and crank- hell damn near the whole bike.
I am not sure about the oil cooler. i know it wasnt much because i had too much oil in the bike before i started and after i put the cooler on it was just about right. i will have to do some checking. i lookd at those jags and they were pricey and would have to go behind the rad where i have the CRT. so i figured i would go the cheap route and see if it works. I will have to see if it says how much oil

Dirty, what kind of mirrors are those? I have one puny little mirror on my SXC and would like to put two that actually work. I'm 6'4", so I need some pretty gangly mirrirs to get a view behind me.

you would need parts 8, 9, and two 10s. you will also need to buy the front brake clamp that has the screw hole for the mirror- mine did not so i bought part number 25 below and that worked great! http://ktmworld.com/ktm_oem_parts_schematic.asp I am 6ft and i have very narrow bars on mine and they work great. the stock bars are really wide so you should have no problem...
