A little engineering

Aah, well.. What to do when the throttle only has one cable but you have two separate throttlebodies? You re-invent the wheel. Found a "cable splitter" on a scooter or such, but it had way too short stroke. So; Either make two new cable pullers at the t-bodies, OR;

Make friends with the ol' lathe, again. The material; Polyoxymethylene.
The stuff crash-mushrooms are made of you know..

And then, steal a piece of that scooter thingy. (I'm lazy)
Keeps the three cables connected.

After a few minutes in the lathe, a long cylinder and a hat? A thing to keep your money in to prevent them from getting wet? Dunno...

Perhaps, the scooter part will fit into the newly produced cylinder? Gotcha!

Apply the outer parts of the cables, and mount the little hat. Shazaam, all done!

Now, it's just a matter of mounting onto Blackie and connect 'em with the "Gen4:s"

The tubing for the inlets are coated and need to dry for a night or so.
I think I'm actually on schedule, finally!
Might so be that Blackie will be done before the Hooligan? Fair enough, the Hooligan needed faaaar more "one of a kind" parts.

Your Greasy1

What are the rest of you up to? SHOW ME!

Inlets coated and shaved for a snug fit. So that's that then?

Just order a pair of K&N R-1260 filtres and get it kick'n?!..
Oh yes, there was this fuel tank issue. Goodly, got something to do this weekend then, burning down the shed..

What to do next? Umm.. wonder if my bro' would mind me mounting a turbo to his XT660.. umm..

Dizzy fumes...

Drained the tank from petrol and removed the fuel pump. Turns out the fuel level sensor needs a bit of repairing. It was just hanging there.

Anyways, the victim and the murder weapon ;

After some a bit of sawing...

Better off checking the clearence, ehy? Seemes pretty straight forward to me!

Ok, so here's the tricky part. Somehow I need to get it fuel-tight again
The tank is at this point still quite smelly, there's fumes in the whole shed.
For some odd reason the idea of holding a big heat gun pointing it at the fuel tank's open gut, seemes like a good idea.
After some welding and approx 10000CF of fumes in my system, halfway

No, it's not burned it's just a bit dirty that new piece of fuel tank. Took it of the stock airbox, good to re-use stuff you'd normally been throwing away.
"To household with the resources"

I'll stop here for the day, my head is killing me

First-first start (cold, not started for 3months) it didn't hesitate either, but the tb:s where (of course) out of sync so idle was a bit rough (no fun in filming that..).

Just been out for a spin, damn what a screamer think everyone in a 50mile radius heard it Bouncing off the limiter in first 5 gears, then I got a bit chicken, met four big elks (or moose as the say across the pond...) in the middle of the road....

Riding at low 2000 revs is now as smooth as a twin ever will be, get on the throttle and it shoots away. Brilliant! (But, who would have thought else??)

The big difference is that your map is a base map and my (and the one you have waiting) current map is close to 100% tuned
