I like to call it Moto-caching
http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?g...4-d15de4ec87a7
Sister-in-Law got us into it. We've been active cachers for a couple of years now and love it. Mostly, we find 'em. We totally geek out when we're in the cage, but I run the 60Csx and my Dell Axim on the bike. |

Yes, biten.
We've found them in the Bronco on 4x trips with the kids in Death Valley, on the GS with one kid (or the wife), hiking in Montana, in the cage and on my bicycle. I am not totally addicted, 70 finds in 18 months, but just got a CSX and loaded 15 caches to track down while at a conference next week. BTW, and Oddly, the most familiar comment I get when telling "newbies" about it is "what do you get?" and "what do you win?". D

I looked at your profile and saw the 1100.. That is impressive.. We are flying to Maine tonight for a week. I am hoping to do some caching while there. We have a GeoCoin that we picked up in Idyllwild, CA that I want to drop off.

I do it too!
I cache.....ALOT. I also have a personal geocoin I drop in good caches from time to time.
I have been doing a lot off my bike lately. I get in the country and ride gravel from one cache to the next. It is a BLAST!! On Friday I am riding from Kansas City, MO to St. Louis and then up the Mississippi to the headwaters, grabbing caches along the way!! http://www.geocaching.com/profile/De...6-1c01e69df33a

I see the bug has bitten you more than just a little... how do you maintain your caches from Leavenworth to Ft Scott? You travel regularly? |

I've been doing it since 2004. Great fun. The kids and I love going treasure hunting.

I have recently discovered
Geocaching. I have only located a few caches so far. It is a fun family activity and also adds a new demension to riding. Geocaching helps me to remember to "stop and smell the roses" along the way. I use mapsource and 60CSx for plotting the route and marking geocache locations. I have encountered some incredable views along the way that I would have otherwise missed.
Some caches are very easy to find, this one was stuck to the back of the guardrail. ![]()

Ccindyy and I finished up the Final Florida Challenge Quest today. Part of the requirements involve finding a cache in each county in Florida:
![]() We finished the Alabama 67 County Challenge earlier this year. Every county! ![]() We did the Delorme Challenge on motorcycles!
