that´s right
well, neither fish not flesh...
good for a ride on and good for a ride off road, but not the best for anything.
it´s too hot for long off road trips and very noisy for long distance travels on road.
But, i´m happy with it for short rides.

Hi advriders in Spain. I need some help.
Which motorcycle forums in Spain would you recommend to me to read, so I can improve my Spanish and get to know some local riders. Preferably something along the lines of this advrider forum. Anybody knows any motorcycle clubs in Mallorca? There are bunch of bikes here but I couldn't see any club stickers on any bikes on streets.
Second question is, which motorcycle insurance companies would you recommend, sooner or later, I might have to register my swedish license 990 Adv here in Spain-Mallorca. Any ideas, how much it would cost per month?

You have many insurance companies. I can recomend you mapfre and lineadirecta. The price for a year is around 300-400€ for your lc8. It only covers damages to thirds parties.

Been here for 11 years.Now in Altea but lived in Barcelona for 5 years...Sant Cugat(Paul)!!!...thats when i had my Pan European.Got a 2002 Africa Twin now.Recently got back from 3 hard weeks in Morocco...gagging to go back.Trying to get a couple of weeks out there after xmas to see abit of the Dakar....any like minded expats or Spanish going the same time?

Although I would love to come to watch Dakar 2008, I can't, our first baby is due around those dates. But I am in for Dakar 2009 :-)

But I am in for long weekend tours around Barcelona, Andorra etc.

I'm an expat resident in Barcelona with an Africa Twin, 2 years ago right around this time I slid on down to Morocco for about 3 weeks. This was just a few months after purchasing the bike, and it was a blast. I've been back to Marrakech a few times since, and am really wanting to go further on south to Western Sahara and on to at least Senegal.

I'm also up for rides in the area if there is anyone around who likes, though I have to say that Montseny is out for the season, I went up there 2 weeks ago and damn near froze, though the colours were amazing.

Also, if there is anyone with anything resembling shopspace to tinker on bikes here, we'll, I'd love to meet you. Everyone I know here lives in apartments and I have to my maintenance on the sidewalk, one eye on the bike and one on my tools. 2 things I miss about home are green parks and home garages.

Lived in Mallorca for 12 months now just waiting for the furniture and the bikes to be shipped over from the UK on the 12th of Dec,2000 Africa twin and a mint 1997 916,our house is in Algiadi.
