I got a garage full myself,The Fants my long time favorite Ducati ! Well maybe a toss up between it and a 78 Darmah, but I'm going to have to be buried with the Fant to ever come out on it.

Nice looking 'Fant! I love the silver.

I upgraded all the electrics including the fuse box. Makes a big differance.

Peg modifications

Anyone out there modify the pegs or replace the assembly with something else?? I am considering some options and just want to see if anyone has tried it successfully. Post some small pics for the rest of us. Thanks I also want to know if anyone has built a 21" front wheel, and if they did, where did they get the rim and spoke kit.

I also want to know if anyone has some spare parts, misc. items they need or want to sell this would be a great forum for us all to trade info and parts.

This coming spring/early summer I would like to know if anyone is interested in meeting in Moab, Utah for a gathering and some riding. I will be doing some exploring this winter and thought it would be a great place to meet someday, especially if you have never been there. Let me know.

by modify the pegs what do you mean?? bigger like burley pegs? or relocate?? i am going to make mine bigger by adding some cut pieces from stock off road pegs picked up at a slavage yard. a 21" rim would be cool for tire selection, but i get mitas tires in elefant sizes so i dont need to cross that road anytime soon, i have found the 19" front more than adequate for medium aggresive riding off road. i tried to get a parts swapping deal started here, but the e-mail list is working very well so i dont think its needed here. and moab would be a nice meeting place, stuntman is putting together an elefant ride for october, dont know if youve seen that yet.

I've seen the threads on meeting in Arkansas, no thanks, too many trips already this year, the wife would kill me. I will post some pics of the Moab backcountry trip, and pics of my peg modifications. Later.

H&B bag mount pictures?

If any one out there has a set of Hepco and Becker bag mounts on their Elefant, could you please post some detailed pictures of them mounted? I bought a set and the right side does not fit correctly.

I sent an e-mail to H&B and of course, received no respnse. I called eurotech as well and they were of no help at all.

Hepco Becker

I have the crash bars mounted, but they developed a crack that went all the way through. I e-mailed Michael at Dumbo Development Labs (who I bought them from) to see if there was anything he could do, but never heard back. Funny, when I was buying the bars and Remus exhaust and Techno Flex shock and all the other stuff I bought, he always got back to me real quick............. I'm hesitant about the luggage racks, but it seems the crash bars were a victim of vibration, which I think would be less of a problem in the back.

Anybody know where I can get lower right frame rail, as mine cracked on recent trip to Labrador. I have a temp weld, but need replacement frame rail, as the weld covers the place where the engine mounts up to the lower frame.

Appreciate any leads

Chris

Found one, thanks.
All of you have been great at helping me get this bike setup how I want it, I have found all the little bits and it's almost done. So for my last parts request... Does anyone have any hard bags or mounting hardware they want to sell, I would love a large Givi top case.

A slow reply to this thread, but I'm not on this forum often and I've been busy with my newborn lately

The 900 Marathon has definitely a higher seat hight than 900 mm. I've got a 900ie Elefant, that has that hight as standard, and the Marathon is at least 8 cm taller at the seat!!
Actually I was able to try to climb on the dutch Marathon a few years back, and I couldn't handle it (vertically challenged at 1,63 m ).
That Marathon is currently equipped with a Prototype tank and fairing, and it looks a killer!!

I've been working on the front end of this bike for a few weeks now getting ready for an offroad trip. Unfortunately the trip didn't happen, but the bike is completed now. Wider pegs for moto boots, longer brake lines to clear the fork guards and fender. And some fat Kenda Trakmaster tires. I'll let you know how it handles in the dirt. On the street you have to have excellent throttle control in the corners. It lays down a black streak of rubber in third gear down main street, easy.
