A bit OT: Funny thing that, considering how much further north Norway is compared to California (or even the whole of the US). I have visited a lot of places in the US, and it often strikes me how similar the climate and nature is.

Well, then I *really* need to get my ass to Olso, Norway for a visit, 'cause I've heard Northern California has some of the best climate and nature in the world. How's the motorcycle ridin' on your 'Fant on the Norway roads?
![]() I grew up in Southern California, (Los Angeles) and prefer Northern California immensely. Better climate, nature, and better motorcycle riding. - John

Ok. Evo 2 is starting to be ready. -99 SS900 engine, slightly ported heads, stock SS cams, 1.5M ECU, wiring loom is a mix SS and Ellie wiring, should make 90 plus hp on the crank but who knows. It's much happier above 5k rpm than stock, stock is a bit better just above idle.

wanted part
I just came back from a 5000k trip from Oslo, Norway to Split, Croatia only to find that I had lost one of the end caps(?) of the swing arm
(the cover in which the rear wheel alignment screw is recessed).I had a great time piloting the Elefant, but sadly we had to get on the autobahn a tad bit too much. One full day of rain, 11h and 900k. Needless to say, we were wet. Drove some fantastic roads in Croatia. 150k of contiuous bends along the coast. The bike behaved good. Only lost the speedo in Denmark. Good thing is the odo is now sans 5000k ![]() Anyway, I am in search of the said end cap. If anyone has one lying around I would like to buy it. I guess they are common for all the 900 fants, but if it matters its an E900 from '96. |
