Yeah, I just found this list yesterday! I own the small herd of Elefants that Gustavo mentioned in an earlier post. I have a '94, much modified Elefant, an '85 650 Elefant, and an '87 650 with a blown tranny that I have yet to rebuild. The '87 is my favorite, I hope to have it running again some day.

I'd post a picture but haven't figured out how to do that yet.

D&D's are made in Texas and Jim is right, they are probably the loudest on the market. Much louder than your Arrow's!

when you reply to a post scroll down a hair and you'll see a button "add attachments" there ya go now wheres my effin theme song???

i have what i thought was staintune but now seems to be giacomoto, guess its made in italy tuned for the fant.(with the bike when i bought) sounds good, not as deep as my ideal, but good and mellow util you throuttle up.

gthong, the only thing id say about the junkyad exhaust is that it wont be "tuned" for your bike. from what i understand many arent. it would be a slip-on like D&D and lots of folks run them on lots of bikes with no complaint 'cept noise levels. i say got for it unless you want to spend the cash on remus (excellent system BTW)

FWI i put my fant on the scale in its everyday riding dress (fluids and trinkets) weighed 418#

2 Spot - you already have a theme song!
To the tune of "The Pink Panther":

2 Spot,2 Spot - 2 spot - 2 Spot,2 Spot,2 Spot -2 Spot,2 Spooooooot

thanks two spot.. for 15.00-20.00.. I'll try the junkyard and report back... will be sometime this winter (we have those in Michigan). I won't put up with too much noise... I used to think my Harley was just wonderful with all the noise... now that I have several other bikes that are whisper quiet.. I wonder why....

take care... I owe you a phone call... tonight or tomorrow if that's OK

Yeah, I meant a 650 (sorry I have these occasional flareups of cranial hemorrhoids).

Is it really as heavy as an e900? Wow, that's hard to believe.

If you guys all want to get together sometime, let's meet in Moab Utah. Great meeting place for bikes like ours. Can't wait to meet some of you characters somewhere!!

More pics

i got more pics Kiltboy, I just gotta dig them out of the shoebox! Being I own a Wee Strom also, I have to dig into the archives these days. I should have some great AK backdrops of the 'fant. Anybody want to come up and rebuild the beast? I got too many other interests to give it the proper attention, especially as it is still running strong enough to enjoy on a sunny sunday. I'd sure hate to see it in a basket........Bluerider
