It would suck to lose such a HUGE chunk of the motorcycling market and history over 50cc, more plastic, and EFI.
![]() And for a full $1000 more over the CBR250? ![]() Only time will tell. I'm still pissed that they killed the EX500. -Jake

I mentioned a discounted price for 2012 250s a few days ago, turns out is was a BS bait & switch! Friggin dealers!!!
![]() They dropped the price and added on a delivery and build fee of the same amount!!! Sorry if anyone went looking for a rebate from Kawi. I asked my regular dealer about the new discounted prices and tghey told me there were no new incentives. |

Wow the 2013s are going for $4599? It was just 6 short years ago that a new '07 listed for $2999. That's a 50% price hike in 6 years! Sheesh...

Yea, looks familiar, I've done it a few times now too. I just as soon not had to do it but oh well.

Spun bearing :(. Yep would have preferred not but as motor swaps go it was pretty easy. Only motor I can picture hefting into place with no help. I think my bike had a hard previous life.

Two owners ago the cluster was changed but from what I can figure the engine had at least 22K on it. After two days of owning the bike I was doing about 80 mph on the highway and when I got off the exit the bike shut off. I got it started again after letting it cool and the engine was very noisy. After getting it home I dropped the pickup screen and it was loaded with shavings. Shame on me for not dropping it immediately after purchase but it was running and full of oil when I bought it. The guy I bought it from was clueless so I'm thinking the original owner raced the bike, abused it, or something similar since I know these engines can go much longer. I found a low mileage replacement engine on eBay, lesson learned.

It's in my garage. Top end looks ok. :). I was planning to tear it down as a fun project.
